Checkmates ist eine K-Pop Dance Group mit 8 Mitgliedern. Die Girls sind aus München, Deutschland, und genieße die Besonderheiten der koreanischen Kultur, wie K-Pop.
Sind haben mittels Social Media zusammengefunden und sich daraufhin zügig getroffen, um über ihr Konzept nachzudenken. Als Ergebnis haben sie sich für einen Schach und Alice im Borderland/Wonderland Vibe für ihre Repräsentation entschieden.
Jedem Mitglied ist aufgefallen, dass sie immer Schwarz, Weiß oder beides tragen. Deshalb haben sie sich entschieden dabei zu bleiben. Auch soll der hohe Kontrast von Schwarz und Weiß die Power, welche die Girls mitbringen, wiedergeben. Die Gruppe will Girl Power liefern, aber auch Gleichheit, in dem sie sich auch Boy Groups vornimmt.
Checkmates ist ein Mix verschiedener Nationalitäten, Sexualitäten und Körpertypen und will mehr Menschen zu mehr Selbstbewusstsein ermutigen in dem sie ihre Power präsentieren!
Die Girls sind noch Studenten und sehr beschäftigt. Also unterstützt sie bitte trotzdem, denn sie geben ihr Bestes! Bleibt dran für großartige Covers und Einblicke in die Gruppe!

Checkmates is a K-pop dance cover group with 8 members. The girls are based in Munich, Germany, and enjoy remarkable things of the Korean culture such as K-pop!
They found together via social media and quickly met up to think about their concept. As a result the girls have chosen a chess and Alice in borderland/wonderland vibe to go with their representation.
Every member noticed that they are always wearing black, white or both. So they decided to stick to that. Also the high contrast of black and white together should resemble the power the girls bring with them. The group wants to provide girl power but also equality by going for boy group covers as well.
Checkmates is a mix of different nationalities, sexualities and body types and wants to encourage more people to be more confident by presenting their power!
The girls are still students and busy. So please support them no matter what, ‘cus they are trying their best! Stay tuned for amazing covers and insights in the group!

우리는 소셜 미디어를 통해 모였고, 빠르게 만나서 컨셉에 대해 고민했습니다. 결론은 체스와 ‘앨리스 인 보더랜드/원더랜드’.
우리 멤버들은 항상 검은색, 흰색 또는 둘 다 입고 있다는 것을 알아차렸습니다. 검은색과 흰색의 고대비는 여자들이 가져오는 힘을 상징하며. 걸 그룹 커버 뿐만 아니라 보이 그룹 커버도 하면서 여성의 힘과 동등성을 제시하고자 합니다.
체크메이트의 멤버들은 다양한 국적, 성 정체성, 체형의 조합이며, 이를 통해 더 많은 사람들이 자신감을 갖도록 격려하고자 합니다!
